Privacy Policy for I Just

I Just is a health logging app that lets users record meals, exercise, sleep, hydration, body metrics, and related entries, including by voice. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored, and what choices users have.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

• Account information: email address and hashed password credentials.
• Profile and goal information: age, sex, height, weight, activity level, goal type, unit preference, and configured goals.
• Health and fitness data: food, hydration, exercise, sleep, body metric, and related log entries, including edited and confirmed entries.
• Voice input data: microphone-captured voice entries and derived transcripts used for logging.
• Technical and operational data: authentication/session data and basic server logs required to operate and secure the service.

2. How We Use Information

• To create and manage user accounts
• To authenticate users and maintain sessions
• To process voice logs into structured entries
• To store, display, edit, and delete health log data
• To calculate summaries, goals, history, and insights
• To maintain app functionality, reliability, and security
• To fulfill user requests such as account deletion

3. Voice Input and Speech Recognition

When a user chooses to log by voice, I Just uses the device microphone and speech recognition to transcribe spoken input. Transcripts and resulting parsed entries may be transmitted to our backend so the app can save logs and compute summaries and insights.

4. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell personal information. We may share data only as necessary with service providers that help operate the app, such as cloud hosting, database hosting, and AI/language-processing providers used to support app functionality.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and app data until the user deletes specific entries, deletes their account, or retention is required by law.

6. Account Deletion

Users can delete their account directly in the app from Settings. Deleting an account removes the user account and associated app data from our active systems, except where retention is legally required.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect user information, including authenticated access controls and password hashing. No system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Children’s Privacy

I Just is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
